Dignity in Care report:

November 4th sees the publication of Healthwatch Oxfordshire’s detailed report on Dignity in Care in the county. This report is based on the findings of volunteers who have been carrying out surveys in hospitals and care homes across Oxfordshire, to see if people think they are receiving care in line with national dignity standards.

The event will include a keynote address, a presentation of the report findings and a question and answer session with the authors and a panel of experts.

Dignity in Care awards:

This event will also celebrate the achievements of local individuals, services and organisations who have gone the extra mile in delivering real dignity in care in Oxfordshire. Six awards will be presented in the following categories:

  • Care or support staff
  • Leadership in dignity in care
  • A care or support setting or service
  • An unpaid carer or a volunteer worker
  • Innovation in Dignity in Care
  • ‘Josie’s Award’

For more information about the awards, visit Age UK or Healthwatch Oxfordshire

The evening will conclude with a drinks reception in the Hildebesse Building at St Antony’s College.
